August Glam Bag Plus

The Ipsy Bag Itself

This month's Ipsy Glam Bag was so cute and unlike any other ipsy bag I've received!!

The August Ipsy's products came in a pink, drawstring bag! Completely different than their usual zipper bags.

I love Ipsy's unique bag designs. I like to keep and use them as change purses or makeup bags!

What's Inside?

There were definitely some hits and misses in this Ipsy bag! I got to choose three products to put in my bag!

Huda Beauty Demi Matte Cream Liquid Lipstick in Lady Boss-$20

The color payoff of this formula is amazing! Lady Boss is such a beautiful, strong color. The doe-foot applicator helped me get a clean line as well. As a demi-matte, the finish look is perfect, not sticky at all! The color last long on the lips, and they even have menthol in the formula for a pluming effect! My lips looked and felt very smooth. The formula is so light weight, my lips feel like I have nothing on them. This one was a HIT!

Ciaté London Triple shot XXL Mascara in Black XXL-$22

THIS mascara was really....something. This is another one of my picks, and I instantly regretted putting it on my eye. The fiber idea did not work in this concept. I had fibers sticking my lashes together, and sticking out here and there.

It clumped my lashes, but it did give them length. The SMELL is so bad!! If you ever grew up playing with that fake child makeup, it smelt just like that but SO much stronger!

My eye didn't feel safe and by the time I got done with my makeup I felt so light headed from the smell. This was sadly a miss.

Beauty For Real Shadow STX 24-7 Eyeshadow Duo in Midnight Marathon + Ever Starstruck

These two little eyeshadow sticks pack some pigment! Especially the shade 'Ever Starstruck'  in the inner corner is STUNNING! You could definitely make an ombre eye look with some dark brown or black on the outside, then using 'Midnight Marathon' in the middle then 'Ever Starstruck' in the corner. These two were HIT in my eyes!

Estate Cosmetics X Bailey Sarian Venice Fling Eyeshadow Palette-$30

This 9 shade eye shadow palette is such a versatile summer palette! With 4 neutral shades, and those vibrant shimmers that could change the whole look in a second, this palette has it all.

The pigment is unreal, especially the royal purple & metallic gold shimmer.

I LOVE that there are 4 mattes along with 5 shimmers.

That with the decent size mirror, would make this palette perfect for on the go! Every shade is so buildable, has minimal fallout , and the color payoff shows in every shade! This was one of my picks and definitely a hit!

Ciaté London Watermelon Burst Pressed Setting Powder-$28

Another one of my picks! I love that this product includes vitamin E and watermelon extract, it helps keep the moisture in my face.

I have severe dry skin, I set my whole face with this product and I was shocked when I noticed no dry flakes or cracking

. At first, I was skeptical because the smell isn't like real watermelon. Instead it is the artificial watermelon smell which still smells good but not my favorite. This was a hit!

In Conclusion

I give this Ipsy Glam Bag a 4/5 ONLY because of that horrendous mascara! I don't even think of myself sensitive to smells but this smell was just bad all round.

I would recommend to anyone to try this Ipsy Glam Bag Plus! I have tried many of other subscription boxes and have been unsatisfied, but this one felt like Christmas with all the excitement!
